Started in 2016 by three moms with a vision of helping each other, while saving money. Ali leading the way with Luna and Mel helping.
By early 2017 we had grown larger and started operating from the front lanai at Kihei Lutheran Church. In late 2017 we became an official mission of KLC, and moved indoors with even more families attending. Averaging around 40 families each month.
In 2018 we started annual back to school and Christmas events with new and used items to help families at these crucial moments.
In Feb 2020 we saw around 75 families a month before the pandemic hit and we went to drive up orders. For 8 months we operated by having people order online, and do drive up pick ups before reopening in late 2020 for in person events outdoors.
After the fires in Aug 2023 we were asked to take on more than just our once a month event and have added a sports equipment exchange, mobile enrichments exchange, and collaborating with other local events. We also incorporated and became an independent 501C3 while still being a mission of KLC.
Today in 2025 we are serving around 85-90 families each month, over 300 ohanas at Back to school and Christmas events, and over 400 unique households per year attend at least one event.
